Try our new lighter, crispier falafel balls
Our Summerhill chefs have recreated this classic so that they’re even more flavourful and still as light as air.
They start with dried chickpeas (not canned) and soak them overnight for a rich, satisfying texture.
Then, they mix in garlic, a medley of spices (including cumin and cardamom) and uplifting fresh herbs like cilantro, parsley and mint leaves.
The balls are expertly fried for a glorious crunch that cracks into the perfect chickpea purée within. Our lemony tahini dip is on the side as a decadent creamy complement.
All you have to decide is how to serve them. In a soft pita with lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers? Or as a salad bowl? (make sure to add Summerhill’s own pickled red onions and classic hummus to the bowl - so good).
However you prep them, they’re a cinch to reheat and packed with protein. Available in all stores now, and online here. Enjoy!
