Discover the uplifting ritual of Fika & Swedish Cardamom Buns.
Our chefs were inspired by “Fika.” It’s a time-honoured Swedish ritual that’s like a kicked-up coffee break. You see, the Swedes see a sweet and coffee as more than a treat – it’s a deliberate way to slow down and enjoy the moment, even for a short while.
With that in mind, our kitchen created Swedish Cardamom Buns. The full-on flavour of cardamom (it’s like a grown-up aromatic take on cinnamon) is warm, sweet, and also floral with hints of citrus. And it’s the perfect pairing for our homemade pull-apart dough.
These are so yummy, like a sophisticated spin on a cinnamon bun. While they’re great at room temp, we love them slightly warmed. However you eat them, channel the Swedish “fika” and be in the moment. Available in all Summerhill stores, and online here. Enjoy!
