It's Radishing! Make this French-bistro appetizer at home.


This summer make the fanciest French-bistro appetizer ever: Radishes!

Recreate this French tradition here at home with beautiful Ontario radishes, butter, olive oil, sea salt, and bread. These crunchy, peppery beauties abound in July and August and, while ever-so-humble, make the chicest little starter.

A root vegetable with either red, yellow, purple, or pink skin, radishes delight (and they’re local!).

Their crisp texture and lively taste are perfectly complemented by the creamy gentleness of good-quality butter, and the earthiness of olive oil.

Simply slice Radishes thinly on a mandoline, drizzle with Summerhill's Olive Oil, sprinkle on Maldon Sea Salt, serve with chilled butter and Summerhill Sourdough and—chef’s kiss—you’re done.

Washing it all down with a cold glass of Chenin Blanc, optional. Enjoy!
