Learn to cook a perfect steak, using the reverse sear method 🥩
Learn to cook a perfect steak using the reverse sear method, an effortless way to achieve a beautifully cooked steak, rain or shine, no BBQ required!
The reverse sear is a slow and steady method that ensures your steak is perfectly cooked from edge to edge. Start with our best-quality Bone-In Rib Steak, on special this weekend.
These are the exact but simple steps.
Preheat your oven to 250°F. Rub steaks with olive oil and generously sprinkle with salt and pepper, then let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes (this ensures even cooking). Place the steak in a heavy oven-proof skillet and bake until it reaches 115°F internally, approximately 20 - 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and sear on your stovetop over high heat for a minute on each side until a beautiful crust forms, and internal temperature reaches 135°F for medium rare, 145°F for medium well. Remove the skillet from heat and finish by topping the steak with 2 pats of our new Roasted Garlic Compound Butter. Rest for 20 minutes, allowing the butter to melt into the steaks.
To serve, transfer steaks to a large wooden serving board, slice against the grain with a sharp chef's knife, pour skillet juices with melted butter over the top, and sprinkle with Maldon finishing salt. Perfecto!
Enjoy mastering a perfectly cooked steak, show off your culinary skills and earn bragging rights at the dinner table!
