Elevated take-out With Authentic, Traditional Ingredients

At Summerhill, we take pride in hiring the best Chefs who ensure our prepared foods are researched thoroughly, tested heavily, and created with authentic, traditional flavours, and best-quality ingredients.

Christopher one of our in-house Chefs, says his late mother would definitely approve of his Butter chicken—although hers might be a bit more spicy—he created ours to be slightly milder for everyone to enjoy. His love of cooking was first inspired by watching his Indian mother cook, and although his career spans 3 decades, “My mother was the real expert” he says with a laugh.

Marinated in yogurt and spices, and served with fragrant basmati rice, Summerhill’s butter chicken for 2 is authentic and rich, and we think easily competes with any top Indian restaurant in Toronto.

Swing by to pick up our elevated Indian Butter chicken take-out, pair with our Stonefire mini original naan (Christopher suggests heating the naan in a 350°F preheated oven for 1 minute), and end with our perfectly crumbed Wild blueberry lemon loaf

P.s. If you like a good Caesar cocktail (recipe below) you’ll want to get in on SavageHot, a small batch hot sauce made right here in Toronto. Because as much as we love creating our own prepared foods and bakery items, when it comes to the latest and greatest, especially local products, you can find them here. Enjoy!

SavageHot Caesar Cocktail Recipe: ½ lime, ½ teaspoon celery salt,1-2 cups Caesar mix (or clamato), 2 ounces vodka,1 teaspoon pickle juice, 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish, 3-4 dashes Worcestershire sauce, 3-4 dashes SavageHot sauce, pinch freshly ground pepper, ice cubes, enough to top glass. Garnish ideas: pickled green beans, cooked bacon, sweet onions, celery rib, gherkins, pimento-stuffed green olives

Instructions:

Wet the rim of a tall glass with lime, don't discard the lime because the juice will be used in your cocktail. Place celery salt on a small plate, and invert the glass into the celery salt to coat. Add Caesar mix to the glass, vodka, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, SavageHot, lime juice (from the lime half), and black pepper. Use a spoon to stir, top with ice cubes and stir again. Garnish a wooden skewer as desired and place it over the top of your glass. Add a celery rib, and bacon stick to your cocktail and enjoy!
