Have a fancy schmancy dinner at home

Our Braised Osso Buco brings a fancy-restaurant meal home.

The Italian “Osso Buco” translates as “bone with a hole” and ours has a whole bunch of deliciousness going on.

It’s no secret Summerhill chefs love Italy, and you might even think you’re there when you taste this Osso Buco. They start with the best-quality veal shanks (read: super succulent), then braise them to ensure moist, even cooking.

The shanks are added to sauteed onions, carrots and celery before being introduced to our real, made-in-house stock gravy (it’s wowsa). Gentle simmering in this richness makes them melt-in-your mouth, fork-tender. It’s a dish that’s both hearty and elegant.

All you have to do is reheat and serve. If you wish, make a garnish of gremolata, a zesty mix of parsley, lemon zest and garlic.

It’s a mouthwatering meal worthy of a white tablecloth but just as delicious at the kitchen island. Enjoy!
