Meet the vegetarian schnitzel that meat-lovers love

Wait till you try our crispy, velvety Lion’s Mane Schnitzel…

Our chefs took Lion’s Mane mushrooms, grown in Toronto, and transformed them into a schnitzel that’s big on texture and taste.

They dipped, dredged and fried the mushrooms, so you don’t have to (just reheat at home).

It starts with the breading. Flour gets the usual salt and pepper, but our chefs added full-on flavour with onion, sage and – the game-changer – smoked paprika.

Next, they amped up the egg and milk mixture that coats the mushrooms with a bit of mayonnaise and maple syrup. Lastly, they seasoned panko bread crumbs with parsley to ensure a vibrant crunch.

Once coated, the velvety Lion’s Manes are pan-fried so they’re crispy outside and tender inside. The flavour is so good – kind of sweet, rich and savoury all at once.

Served with fan-favourite parsnip puree and apple sauce, our Lion’s Mane Schnitzel is a healthy, and satisfying, meal. Enjoy!

P.S. Good To Know! Lion’s Mane are a brain-boosting culinary delight, rich in protein (22g per 100g dry) and a great source of essential amino acids. Packed with antioxidants, beta-glucans, and polysaccharides, they support and boost immune system.
