The iconic dessert, with its spongy cake base, Madagascar vanilla ice cream in the middle, and perfectly torched meringue topping, is a showstopper!
The OG version of Baked Alaska goes way back to 1802 when Thomas Jefferson served it at a White House dinner, wanting to serve cake and ice cream together. Later served in fancy restaurants and by those home entertainers who pulled out all the stops for family gatherings!
