Summerhill Does Lobster

Ahhh – the crisp sea air, waves gently lapping along the shore, and fresh lobster at the table. It just doesn’t get any more summery than this.

You don’t have to live seaside or travel to New England to enjoy sweet, tender lobster meat. You don’t have to know how to cook them either. As these tasty crustaceans are in season for a very short time, we’re celebrating lobster BIG TIME with Lobster Week from July 11-17.

Take a look at the sumptuous menu coming your way:

Anchors Away!

There’s a true art to making lobster rolls. It requires the right ratio of meat to bun, enough acidity to cut through the rich lobster and creamy mayo, and a well-balanced crunch to offset the soft bun and lobster mixture. Lucky for you, SHM’s chefs have spent months creating the perfect Lobster Bun ($5.99) that delivers ALL the summer feels.

Ooey Gooey Goodness

Lobster Mac & Cheese ($28.99 – serves 4) is a decadent dish that just can’t be beat. But who wants to hang out in a hot kitchen at the stove when you could be outside on the deck/in the backyard/at the cottage?

Let Summerhill do all the heavy lifting this week, while you get the credit for putting together such an incredible gourmet meal, no lobster bib required.

Chill Out

The temps are outta control this month. Since not everyone’s poolside this weekend, seeking out ways to cool down and chill out are an absolute necessity.

While others choose to guzzle water and chew on ice to beat the heat, I recommend a more epicurean approach: Get yourself the new Lobster Dip, Lobster Salad Bowl, and Lobster Salad, because it doesn’t look like the heat is letting up anytime soon. And while Chilled Lobster Gazpacho may sound a tad lavish, it’s a fab low-cal meal that fills you up without any heaviness. And when served in a martini or coupe glass? So lush.

Lobster Is ALWAYS a Good Idea

Lobster often gets a bad rap for being overpriced and too much work. But I’m here to tell you it’s got a lot going for it, including:

– Lobster meat is a great source of protein- 28 grams per cup

– It’s high in Omega-3 fatty acids, which are good for your heart

– It may be an aphrodisiac.

These limited-time lobster dishes are available Wednesday, July 11 to Tuesday, July 17 in the prepared foods section featured shelf.

P.s. Fab accompaniments can also be found in-store. Pick up chowdah, coleslaw, steak (Surf & Turf!), fresh corn, potatoes, clams, and potato chips. And don’t forget some nautical – themed napkins found at the front of the store. Those lobster rolls can be messy!
