Bulletproof Coffee

Bulletproof coffee is one of the latest trends to hit the coffee scene, now it is easier than ever to re-create this beverage at home. The theory behind a bulletproof brew is that it’s high fat content is part of a ketogenic diet, which promotes consuming foods high in fat, moderate in protein content and low in carbohydrates, “with the intention of getting the body to go into ketosis.”1 The idea is that your body will draw upon fat stores as an energy source, rather than simple sugars like glucose which is derived from carbohydrates.

Regardless of whether or not this diet is for you, a bulletproof coffee is a surefire way to give you that desired AM kick. If you are looking to switch up your morning routine, or are a regular coffee connoisseur, this drink will aid in mental function, your body’s ability to burn fat and make you feel fuller for longer.
